Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using Our Service.

These are the Terms and Conditions of Sale for Brake Fit Ltd to which the
purchases of all goods and services in-store or telephone are subject.

In these Conditions, the following definitions shall apply:

  • Conditions: the terms and conditions set out on this page
  • Contract: the contract between Brake Fit Ltd and the Customer for the sale and
    purchase of the Goods and/or Services in accordance with these Conditions.
  • Customer, you, your: the person who purchases the Goods and/or Services from us,
    subject to the restrictions set out in clause 5.
  • Goods: the goods (or any part of them) set out in the work order.
  • Brake Fit Ltd, we, us, our: means Brake Fit Ltd.
  • Order: The Customer's order for the Goods and/or Services
  • Website: means brake-fit.com
  • Event Outside Our Control: An Event Outside Our Control means any act or event
    beyond our reasonable control, including without limitation strikes, lock-outs or other
    industrial action by third parties, civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat
    of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war, fire,
    explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster, or
    failure of public or private telecommunications networks or impossibility of the use of
    railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private
    transport.


Quotations

  • Any quotation we provide will have an expiry date stated on it.
  • If no expiry date is shown, the quotation is valid for 30 days from the date it was given.
  • After expiry, prices may change due to parts costs, supplier availability, or other factors.
  • We reserve the right to withdraw or amend a quotation at any time before it is
    accepted.


The Contract

  • You can order services in-store and or via telephone by calling the number on our
    website.
  • When you leave the car with us and you agree to carry out work, that forms the
    contract.
  • Estimates are given in good faith but may change if additional problems are found.
  • We will contact you for authorisation before carrying out extra work or ordering extra
    parts. We promise to inform you as soon as reasonably practicable of any delays or
    complications.
  • Jobs booked or placed, via telephone or the Website constitutes an offer to purchase
    the Goods and/or Services in accordance with these Conditions. Please check your Order
    before placing it, as you are responsible for ensuring that the terms of the Order are
    correct.

Liability

  1. While your vehicle is in our care, it is covered by our insurance.
  2. We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, hidden defects, or unrelated breakdowns
  3. We are not liable for personal items left in the vehicle — please remove valuables
    before handing over the keys.
  4. Some of our work is sub-contracted and we are not liable for any damages or faults
    caused by these contractors.
  5. We are not responsible for delays or issues caused by events outside our control (e.g.
    supplier delays, courier issues, extreme weather).

Vehicle hand over and collection

  • We will contact you by your preferred means to inform you that your vehicle is ready to
    collect
  • You must collect your vehicle within 7 days of being notified it is ready.
  • After this, storage fees of £40 per day may apply.


Workshop Safety

  • For health and safety reasons, customers are not permitted to enter the workshop or
    garage area unless expressly invited by a member of staff.
  • Safety signs displayed on-site must be observed at all times.
  • If you enter the workshop or garage area without authorisation, you do so entirely at
    your own risk, and we will not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage that occurs.

Parts

  1. We may use new, aftermarket, or reconditioned parts unless otherwise agreed.
  2. Parts warranties are provided by the manufacturer/supplier, not the garage.
  3. If you supply your own parts, we are not responsible for their quality, performance, or
    warranty. We also reserve the right to refuse work or use of parts supplied by you.

MOT & Roadworthiness

  1. If your vehicle fails an MOT, we will explain the required work along with a quotation of
    the cost for us to carry out this work.
  2. We may legally refuse to release a vehicle we believe to be dangerous until essential
    safety repairs are carried out (in line with UK law).

Payment

  • Payment is due in full when you collect your vehicle.
  • We accept cash, card or bank transfer
  • We also accept payment assist (subject to their terms)
  • If the vehicle is not collected or paid for, we reserve the right to charge daily storage
    fees.
  • We may retain your vehicle until payment is received (lien).


Complaints

  • If you are unhappy with our service, please contact us directly in the first instance.
  • We will attempt to resolve complaints quickly and fairly.
  • If unresolved, you may be able to refer the matter to an alternative dispute resolution
    scheme.


Cancellation Policy

  • You are able to cancel any agreed order or work up until the moment you hand over the
    key for your vehicle. As we may have already ordered required parts to complete the
    work, any work or orders cancelled on the day, will be subject to a cancellation fee,
    relative to any parts or preparation made to complete the work, this can be unlimited
  • Refunds are only available if work is faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights.


Events Outside Our Control

We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance
of, any of our obligations due to any event outside our control.


Variation

  • Brake Fit Ltd amends these Conditions from time to time. Each time you order Goods or
    Services from us, the Conditions in force at the time of your Order apply to the Contract
    between you and us.
  • We may update, vary and amend these Conditions from time to time without prior
    notice. Each time you make a Purchase or an Order from us, the Conditions in force at
    that time will apply (as set out on the Website). Please check on the Website to ensure
    you understand the Conditions that apply.
